Veela

Eastern European fairies. In my book it's spelled Vila. They are shape shifters, associated with forests and forest animals, of whom they are fiercely protective. They are usually seen as beautiful women, but can turn into animals. When you upset them, their preferred method of vengeance is to lure you into their midst and then dance you to death.
